-ELEPHANT GRAVEYARD- I've been counting all my sins I know I've made my fair share of mistakes And when the final hunt begins You know they're coming for my head ~ But I'm just looking for a place to lay my dusty bones Because it seems they're aching more and more with every single day ~ It's a graveyard out there, You better watch what you say. ~ I'm not the only one who feels it Pressure in my heart when all around me burns But even fire cannot conceal it Ashes spread like footprints in the dirt ~ 'Cos we're all just searching for a place to rest our filthy bones But an arid heart won't give the moisture of a desert rain When it's needed most of all in the depths of our marrow We want it more each day ~ It's a graveyard out there, You better watch what you say, It's a wasteland out there, You better lead your own way.
2.
-CAN'T WE JUST PRETEND?- I read the reviews and I heard the news Wish I could have stayed to see the show But the day you broke the fourth wall, I knew you'd be the first to go ~ I loved the way you played the part Even when the crowd was cold, you gave your heart Why can't you just pretend a little longer with me? ~ Now I sit and stumble on the whitest keys Simple chords with a somber tone The light shines down, a brief soliloquy Sitting center stage alone. ~ Can't we just pretend a little longer? Write the characters a little stronger? Fix the plot and make the setting better for me and you? ~ We could have wrote the perfect play But by the time we reached the climax We couldn't think of what to say. ~ Can't we just pretend a little longer? Write the characters a little stronger? Fix the plot and make the setting better for me and you?
3.
-ROOM FULL OF ADDERS- I've been waiting in a Room Full of Adders. I've been sleeping in a Room Full of Adders. ~ I think I'm waiting for someone, I'm not really sure. Someone to come a release me, Open the door. I've been waiting for a lull in the conversation So I can let myself out I'm dying to leave this room. ~ I've been waiting in a Room Full of Adders. I've been sleeping in a Room Full of Adders. ~ I've been waking up at midnight, Baby, it's not alright, It's never alright, Have you ever seen a man with a burning brain? ~ I've been thinking about the future, Pulling at my sutures, Picking at my scabs, I don't expect them to heal, I don't expect you to feel for me. ~ I've been waiting in a Room Full of Adders. I've been sleeping in a Room Full of Adders. ~ Late at night I hear the gentle hissing under my door. If you try not to focus on it, It's really not that bad... ~ I've been waiting in a Room Full of Adders. I've been sleeping in a Room Full of Adders.
